The Computer Based Examination for recruitment of Combined Graduate Level Examination (Tier-I) – 2018 was conducted by the Commission from 04.06.2019 to 13.06.2019 at different centres all over the country. Re-examination for some venues was also conducted by the Commission on 19.06.2019. The candidates’ Response Sheet along with the tentative Answer Keys are now available on the link given below. The candidates may login as per the procedure mentioned in the link provided below. Representation in respect of the tentative Answer Keys, if any, may be submitted online from 26.06.2019 (5.00 PM) to 30.06.2019 (5.00 PM) on payment of Rs. 100/- per question/answer challenged. Representations received after 5.00 PM on 30.06.2019 will not be entertained under any circumstances. Staff Selection Commission declared the result of – Phase-VI/ 2018 Selection Post Examination (i.e. for Matriculation, Higher Secondary and Graduate & above level) for next stage of scrutiny. The results were uploaded on the website of the Commission on 17.05.2019. In order to ensure greater transparency in the examination system and in the interest of the candidates, the Commission has uploaded the Final Answer Keys along with Question Paper(s) on the website of the Commission on 11.06.2019. The candidates may take a print out of their respective Question Paper(s) along with the Final Answer Keys by using the link given below. Cut-off Results: Sub-Inspector in CPO, Delhi Police

STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION (SSC) declared the Cut-off Marks Result : Recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police, CAPFs and Assistant Sub-Inspectors in CISF Examination, 2018 – Result of Paper-I  to call Candidates for Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET).

The Staff Selection Commission conducted Computer Based Examination for Recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police, CAPFs and Assistant SubInspectors in CISF Examination, 2018 (Paper-I) from 12.03.2019 to 16.03.2019 wherein a total of 2,32,514 candidates appeared.

  • As the Computer Based Examination was conducted in multiple shifts, marks scored by the candidates have been normalized as per the formula published by the Commission on its website on 07-02-2019.  Such normalized marks have been used to qualify the candidates for the PST and PET of the Examination.
  • Representations received from the candidates regarding tentative Answer Keys were carefully examined and answer keys were suitably modified wherever required and finalized thereafter. The final answer keys have been used for evaluation of performance of candidates in the Examination.
  • Based on the cut-off fixed by the Commission in Paper-I, number of candidates qualifying for appearing in PST and PET are as follows:

Declaration of Result of Computer Based Examinations for next stage of scrutiny **********

 Staff Selection Commission conducted Computer Based Examination for Graduation & above level posts under Phase-VI/ 2018/Selection Post Examination from  17-01-2019 to 18-01-2019 at various centres all over the country. 152079 number of completed applications were received for Graduation & above Level posts. 32242 number of candidates took the examination.  Few candidates have applied for more than one category of Posts within one Regional/ Sub-Regional Office as well as in different Regional/ Sub-Regional Offices. Marks obtained by such candidates have been used for preparing the Merit Lists for all such categories of posts.

According to Para-15 of the Notice of Phase-VI/2018/Selection Posts Examination, the minimum cut-off for the Computer Based Examination has been applied as under:-

i) UR:     35% (i.e. 70 marks) ii)          OBC: 30% (i.e. 60 marks) iii)         All other reserved categories:     25% (i.e. 50 marks)

As per recruitment procedure mentioned at Para-15 of the Notice, 8490 candidates have been shortlisted for the next stage of scrutiny based on the score and merit of candidates in the Computer Based Examination, in the following ratio:-

  1. 1:20 for vacancies up to 5 (subject to the availability of suitable candidates).
    1. 1:10 subject to minimum 100 for vacancies more than 5 (subject to the availability of suitable candidates).
  • Post-Category wise minimum cut-off and number of candidates shortlisted for the next stage of scrutiny are given in Annexure-I.  
  • The candidates who are shortlisted for next stage of scrutiny are required to submit a copy of all the supporting Documents in respect of Educational Qualification (EQ), Experience, Category, Age, Age-relaxation, etc. (as applicable) in hard copy along with the print out of their online application form to the respective Regional/ Sub-Regional Office(s) to which the Post-Category belongs, within 3 (three) weeks i.e. up to 14-06-2019 by SPEED POST ONLY.  The candidates should clearly mention the “Graduation & above Level”and “Post-Category No.” on the TOP of the Envelope while sending the documents to the respective Regional/ Sub-Regional  Office(s) by Speed Post.    
  • It may be noted that if a candidate has applied for 3 (three) categories of posts namely NR-10818, ER-10718 and WR-10218, then he/ she has to submit his/ her requisite documents in hard copy to concerned Regional Office(s) separately for each category of Post i.e. to SSC (NR) for Post-Category No. NR-10818, to SSC (ER) for Post-Category No. ER-10718 and to SSC (WR) for Post-Category No. WR-10218.  
  • If a candidate has applied for two or more categories of Posts in one Regional Office only, for example, a candidate has applied for two categories namely NR-10718 and NR-10818, then he/ she has to submit his/ her requisite documents in hard copy, by Speed Post, to the concerned Regional Office i.e. SSC (NR) separately for each category of Post i.e. one set of documents for Post-Category No. NR-10718 and one set of documents for Post-Category No. NR-10818.

NOTE:- IF PRINTOUT OF THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM ALONGWITH THE REQUISITE DOCUMENTS IN HARD COPY IS NOT RECEIVED IN THE RESPECTIVE REGIONAL/ SUB-REGIONAL OFFICE BY 14-06-2019, CANDIDATURE OF SUCH CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THE SECRUTINY AND FURTHER STAGES OF THE EXAMINATION.

  1. Resolution of tie cases – In the event of tie in scores of candidates in the Computer Based Examination, such cases have been resolved by applying following criteria, one after another, till the tie is resolved:
  1. Total marks in Computer Based Examination.
    1. Marks in Part-A of Computer Based Examination.  iii. Marks in Part-B of Computer Based Examination.  iv. Date of Birth, with older candidates placed higher. 

v. Alphabetical order of names (starting with first name)

  1. Skill Test, wherever prescribed for any category of post(s) will be conducted from amongst the shortlisted candidates whose hard copies of documents are received and found in order at Scrutiny stage, by the Regional/ Sub-Regional Office(s) of the Commission. Due intimation in advance will be given by the respective Regional/ SubRegional offices to the candidates through their websites.
  1. Marks of the candidates will not be disclosed at this stage. The candidature of the shortlisted candidates is provisional.
  1. For further stages of recruitment, candidates may visit the websites of the concerned Regional/Sub-Regional Offices regularly.

Staff Selection Commission declared Phase-VI/2018 Selection Post Examination (Higher Secondary Level) Result of Computer Based Examinations for next stage of scrutiny

            Staff Selection Commission conducted Computer Based Examination for Higher Secondary level posts under Phase-VI/ 2018/Selection Post Examination from           17-01-2019 to 18-01-2019 at various centres all over the country. 74462 number of completed applications were received for Higher Secondary Level posts. 17554 number of candidates took the examination.  Few candidates have applied for more than one category of Posts within one Regional/ Sub-Regional Office as well as in different Regional/ Sub-Regional Offices. Marks obtained by such candidates have been used for preparing the Merit Listsfor all such categories of posts.

  • According to the Para-15 of the Notice of Phase-VI/2018/Selection Posts Examination, the minimum cut-off for the Computer Based Examination has been applied as under:-

i) UR:     35% (i.e. 70 marks) ii)          OBC: 30% (i.e. 60 marks) iii)         All other reserved categories:     25% (i.e. 50 marks)

  • As per the recruitment procedure mentioned in Para-15 of the Notice, 2093 candidates have been shortlisted for the next stage of scrutiny based on the score and merit of candidates in the Computer Based Examination, in the following ratio:-
  1. 1:20 for vacancies up to 5 (subject to the availability of suitable candidates). 
    1. 1:10 subject to minimum 100 for vacancies more than 5 (subject to the availability of suitable candidates).
  • Post-Category wise minimum cut-off and number of candidates shortlisted for the next stage of scrutiny are given in Annexure-I.  
  • The candidates who are shortlisted for next stage of scrutiny are required to submit a copy of all the supporting Documents in respect of Educational Qualification (EQ), Experience, Category, Age, Age-relaxation, etc. (as applicable) in hard copy alongwith the print out of their online application form to the respective Regional/ Sub-Regional Office(s) to which the Post-Category belongs, within 3 (three) weeks i.e. up to 14-06-2019 by SPEED POST ONLY. The candidates should clearly mention the “Higher Secondary level” and “Post-Category No.” on the TOP of the Envelope while sending the documents to the respective Regional/ Sub-Regional  Office (s) by Speed Post.    
  • It may be noted that if a candidate has applied for 3 (three) categories of posts namely NR-11718, ER-11718 and WR-10118, then he/she has to submit his/ her requisite documents in hard copy to concerned Regional Office(s) separately for each category of Post i.e. to SSC (NR) for Post-Category No. NR-11718, to SSC (ER) for Post-Category No.ER-11718 and to SSC (WR) for Post-Category No.WR-10118.
  • If a candidate has applied for two or more categories of Posts in one Regional Office only, for example, a candidate has applied for two categories namely NR-11418 and NR-11718, then he/ she has to submit his/ her requisite documents in hard copy, by Speed Post, to the concerned Regional Office i.e. SSC (NR) separately for each category of Post i.e. one set of documents for Post-Category No. NR-11418 and one set of documents for Post-Category No. NR-11718.

NOTE:- IF PRINTOUT OF THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM ALONGWITH THE REQUISITE DOCUMENTS IN HARD COPY IS NOT RECEIVED IN THE RESPECTIVE REGIONAL / SUB-REGIONAL OFFICE BY 14-06-2019, CANDIDATURE OF SUCH CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THE SECRUTINY AND FURTHER STAGES OF THE EXAMINATION.

  1. Resolution of tie cases – In the event of tie in scores of candidates in the Computer Based Examination, such cases have been resolved by applying following criteria, one after another, till the tie is resolved:
  1. Total marks in Computer Based Examination.
    1. Marks in Part-A of Computer Based Examination.  iii. Marks in Part-B of Computer Based Examination.  iv. Date of Birth, with older candidates placed higher. 

v. Alphabetical order of names (starting with first name)

  1. Skill Test, wherever prescribed for any category of post(s) will be conducted from amongst the shortlisted candidates whose hard copies of documents are received and found in order at Scrutiny stage, by the Regional/ Sub-Regional office(s) of the Commission. Due intimation in advance will be given by the respective Regional/ SubRegional offices to the candidates through their websites. 
  1. Marks of the candidates will not be disclosed at this stage. The candidature of the shortlisted candidates is provisional.

Declaration of Result of Computer Based Examinations for next stage of scrutiny

            Staff Selection Commission conducted Computer Based Examination for Matriculation level posts under Phase-VI/ 2018/Selection Post Examination from        16-01-2019 to 18-01-2019 at various centres all over the country. 210601 number of completed applications were received for Matriculation Level posts. 55594 number of candidates took the examination.  Few candidates have applied for more than one category of Posts within one Regional/ Sub-Regional Office as well as in different Regional/ Sub-Regional Offices. Marks obtained by such candidates have been used for preparing the Merit Listsfor all such categories of posts. 

  • According to the Para-15 of the Notice of Phase-VI/2018/Selection Posts Examination, the minimum cut-off for the Computer Based Examination has been applied as under:-

i) UR:     35% (i.e. 70 marks) ii)          OBC: 30% (i.e. 60 marks) iii)         All other reserved categories:     25% (i.e. 50 marks)

  • As per recruitment procedure mentioned at Para-15 of the Notice, 4784 candidates have been shortlisted for the next stage of scrutiny based on the score and merit of candidates in the Computer Based Examination, in the following ratio:-
  1. 1:20 for vacancies up to 5 (subject to the availability of suitable candidates).
    1. 1:10 subject to minimum 100 for vacancies more than 5 (subject to the availability of suitable candidates).
  • Post-Category wise minimum cut-off and number of candidates shortlisted for the next stage of scrutiny are given in Annexure-I.  
  • The candidates who are shortlisted for next stage of scrutiny are required to submit a copy of all the supporting Documents in respect of Educational Qualification (EQ), Experience, Category, Age, Age-relaxation, etc.(as applicable) in hard copy along with the print out of their online application form to the respective Regional /Sub-Regional Office(s) to which the Post-Category belongs, within 3 (three) weeks i.e. up to 14-06-2019 by SPEED POST ONLY. The candidates should clearly mention the “Matriculation level” and “Post-Category No.” on the TOP of the Envelope while sending the documents to the respective Regional/ Sub-Regional  Office (s) by Speed Post. 
  • It may be noted that if a candidate has applied for 3 (three) categories of posts namely NR-10118, ER-11818 and WR-10418, then he/ she has to submit his/her requisite documents in hard copy to concerned Regional Office (s) separately for each category of Post i.e. to SSC (NR) for Post-Category No. NR-10118, to SSC (ER) for Post-Category No.ER-11818 and to SSC (WR) for Post-Category No.WR-10418.
  • If a candidate has applied for two or more categories of Posts in one Regional Office only, for example, a candidate has applied for two categories namely NR-12618 and NR-12818, then he/ she has to submit his/ her requisite documents in hard copy, by Speed Post, to the concerned Regional Office i.e. SSC (NR) separately for each category of Post i.e. one set of documents for Post-Category No. NR-12618 and one set of documents for Post-Category No. NR-12818.

SSC CGL Cut-off marks

On 09.05.2019 SSC issued a notification regarding Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE), 2017 (Tier-III) – Declaration of result for appearing in Skill Test/Document Verification. The category wise cut-off marks for Assistant Audit officer , Junior Statistical Officer has been published and same is reproduce below for information to all candidates.

 The Staff Selection Commission conducted Tier-III (Written Examination) of CGLE 2017 on 8.7.2018 in various centres all over the country. As per Notice of the Examination, the merit has been prepared on overall performance in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III.  However, the candidate will need to qualify all the Tiers i.e. Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III separately. For Tier-III examination, minimum qualifying marks has been fixed as 33.  Based on the marks in Tier-I, Tier-II and as per cut-off fixed by the Commission in Tier-III, candidates qualifying for appearing in Skill Test and Document Verification are as per lists below:

  8. The category of the candidates has been indicated along with their Roll Numbers. If any candidate finds a mismatch between his/her Name, Roll Number and Category, he/she must bring it to the notice of the respective Regional Office of the Commission immediately. 
  9. The schedule for CPT/DEST/Document Verification will be available on concerned Regional Office’s website. Qualified eligible candidates, who do not receive call letters should contact the concerned Regional Offices of the Commission immediately. 
  10. This result is subject to the Orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the Writ Petition (Civil) No. 234 of 2018 filed by Shri Santanu Kumar & Ors. Vs. UOI.

    • As per Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification dated 10-06-2015 published in Gazette of India all the degrees/ diplomas/ certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode of education by the Universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature,  Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grant Commission Act 1956 and Institutions of National Importance declared under an Act of Parliament stand automatically recognized for the purpose of employment to posts  and services under the Central Government provided they have been approved by the University Grants Commission.
    • Candidates who have not yet acquired but will acquire the educational qualification and produce documentary evidence from the Board in support thereof as on 01-08-2019 are also eligible.
    • All candidates who are declared qualified by the Commission for Document Verification will be required to produce the relevant Certificates such as Mark sheets, Provisional Certificates etc. for completion of Matriculation or equivalent in original as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before 01-08-2019, failing which the candidature of such candidates will be cancelled by the Commission. The candidates who are able to prove, by documentary evidence, that the result of the qualifying examination was declared on or before the cut-off date i.e. 01-08-2019 and he/ she has been declared passed, will also be considered to meet the educational qualification.
    • The candidates possessing equivalent educational qualification shall also produce relevant Equivalence Certificate from the concerned authorities at the time of Document Verification. However, final decision regarding selection of such candidates will be taken by the concerned User Departments.
  • How to apply:
    • Applications must be submitted in online mode only at the official website of SSC Headquarters i.e. https://ssc.nic.in. For detailed instructions, please refer to Annexure-I and Annexure-II of this Notice.
    • Last date for submission of online applications is 29-05-2019 (5.00 PM).
    • Candidates are advised in their own interest to submit online applications much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection/ inability or failure to login to the SSC website on account of heavy load on the website during the closing days.
    • The Commission does not accept any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within the last date on account of the aforesaid reasons or for any other reason beyond the control of the Commission.

2         Application Fee:

2.1        Fee payable: Rs 100/- ( Rs one hundred only ).

2.2        Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.

2.3        Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes

( SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.

2.4        Online fee can be paid by the candidates up to 31-05-2019 (5.00 PM). However, candidates who wish to make the cash payment through Challan of SBI, may make the payment in cash at the Branches of SBI within the working hours of bank up to 01-062019 provided the Challan has been generated by them before 3105-2019 (5.00  PM ).

2.5        Applications received without the prescribed fee shall not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection will be entertained. Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor will it be adjusted against any other examination or selection.

2.6        Candidates who are not exempted from fee payment must ensure that their fee has been deposited with SSC. If the fee is not received by SSC, status of Application Form is shown as ‘Incomplete’ and this information is printed on the top of the Application Form printout. Further, status of fee payment can be verified at the ‘Payment Status” link provided in the candidate’s login screen. Such applications which remain incomplete due to non-receipt of fee will be SUMMARILY REJECTED and no request for consideration of such applications and fee payment after the period specified in the Notice of Examination shall be entertained

  • A candidate may give option for three centres, in the order of priority, within the same region. No request for change of Centre of Examination will be considered later under any circumstances. 13.3.1         Paper-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions only. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi for Part-II, III & IV.

13.3.2 There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

13.3.3         Answer Keys, in due course after the Computer Based Examination, will be placed on the website of the Commission   (https://ssc.nic.in).       Any   representation regarding answer keys received within the time limit fixed by the Commission at the time of uploading of the answer keys, will be scrutinized and the decision of the Commission in this regard will be final. 13.3.4 Marks scored by candidates in Paper-I will be normalized by using the formula published by the Commission through Notice No: 1-1/2018-P&P-I dated 07-02-2019 and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks.

13.4.1 Paper-II will be of descriptive type in which the candidate will be required to write a short essay or letter in English or any language included in the VIII Schedule of the Constitution.

13.4.2 Paper-II will only be of qualifying nature and is intended to test elementary language skills in view of categorization of the post as Group-C and in view of job requirements. However, marks scored by the candidates in Paper-II will be used to decide merit in case more than one candidate score equal normalized marks in Paper-I.

13.4.3 Paper-II will be held only for those candidates who meet the cut-off prescribed by the Commission in Paper-I for different categories.

13.5   Indicative Syllabus for Computer Based Examination (Paper-I):

13.5.1 Questions on ‘General Intelligence and Reasoning’ will be non-verbal considering the functions attached to the post. Questions on Numerical Aptitude and General English will be simple, of a level that an average matriculate will be in a position to answer comfortably. Questions on General Awareness will be also of similar standard.

13.5.2 English Language: Candidates’ understanding of the Basics of English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. and writing ability would be tested.

13.5.3 General Intelligence and Reasoning: It would include questions of non-verbal type.  The test will include questions on similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc.  The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.

13.5.4 Numerical Aptitude: This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.

13.5.5 General Awareness:   Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of

an educated person.  The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography,

Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

13.5.6 For VH candidates of 40% and above visual disability, there will be no component of Maps/ Graphs/ Diagrams/

Statistical Data in the Paper.

13.6 Paper-II: The Paper will be set in Hindi, English and in other languages mentioned in the VIII Schedule of the Constitution as given in Annexure-XIV, to test basic language skills commensurate with the educational qualification prescribed for the post. The syllabus for the Examination will be as follows:

  1. General Intelligence & Reasoning: Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, nonverbal series, coding and decoding, etc.
  2. General Knowledge and General Awareness: Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

Based on the performance in CBE, candidates will be shortlisted for PET/ PST by the Commission. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) will be conducted at various centres finalized by the CAPFs. Detailed scrutiny of candidates’ eligibility/ documents will be undertaken at the time of DME. Therefore, it will be the responsibility of the candidates to verify their eligibility as prescribed in this notice before appearing for CBE/ PST/ PET. During PET/ PST, candidates who are found eligible on height parameters will undergo PET (race) followed by biometric/ technology aided identification. Scrutiny of eligibility of candidates for any relaxation i.e. age, height and chest measurement will be carried out after qualifying PET (race) before PST by CAPFs PET/ PST Boards. a.   1. GENERAL MEDICAL GUIDELINES.
  • The purpose of medical standards is to ensure that medically fit candidates are accepted into the CAPFs.
  • Candidates will be medically examined in terms of ‘Guidelines for recruitment Medical examination in CAPFs and AR’ issued vide MHA UO No. A-VI-1 /2014/Rectt(SSB ) dated 20.05.2015 and subsequently amended from time to time.

Any false declaration in this aspect, discovered later at any stage of service, will make the candidate liable for disciplinary action including termination from service.
  • At some stages of medical examination male candidates will require to be examined in nude. Loin cloth is to be permitted except for, when genitalia and perineum is being examined.
  • The final decision of fitness/ unfitness in weight will be decided by the medical board at the time of medical examination based on the height and age chart on the day of medical examination and as per the height measured by the PST/ PET Board & as per guidelines for the same.
  • Medical Test (X-Ray) chest-PA view, Haemoglobin, Urine routine/ microscopic examination will be must for all candidates under medical examination.
  • For all female candidates: In case of medical examination, “Temporary Unfitness” will not be allowed. However, any such female candidate who during medical examination is found to be pregnant of twelve weeks standing or above, she shall be declared “temporary unfit” and will be re-examined six weeks after the pregnancy is over, either naturally or artificially, subject to the production of a medical certificate of fitness from a registered medical practitioner to the Nodal CAPF.
  • Tattoo: Following criteria has been fixed to determine permissibility of Tattoo:
    • Content: Tattoo depicting religious symbol or figures and the name, as followed in Indian Army are to be permitted.
    • Location: Tattoos marked on traditional sites of the body like inner aspect of forearm, but only left forearm, being non saluting limb or dorsum of the hands are to be allowed.
    • Size: Must be less than ¼ of the particular part (Elbow or Hand) of the body.

Note: Amendment if any in the tattoo policy will be applicable for this recruitment if the same is made before the date of Detailed Medical Examination.

  • Duration of fitness for Post-operative cases. If any candidate is operated before medical and comes for medical examination to be conducted by CAPF, then minimum time period that should be completed after operation at the time of medical (DME/ RME as the case may be) for fitness will be considered as per details given below:
    • Body surface swelling, DNS, tonsillectomy and nasal polypectomy: 1 month.
    • Hydrocele: 3
    • Tympanoplasty: 4 months.
    • Abdominal/ pelvic surgeries involving opening of peritoneum, repairs of Hernia, varicocele surgeries, surgery for fistula-in-ano etc: 6 months.
    • Above time will be considered at the time of medical only and not after the due date of medical.
    • Any surgery conducted between the period of DME & RME for corrective measure of unfitness will not be accepted and be considered as ‘unfit’.
  • The candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes.
  • Examination of blood pressure, (Normal Range Systolic 100-140 mm of Hg, Diastolic 60 to 90 mm of Hg ).
  • Haemoglobin: (Normal Range: 12-16 g/dL for male, 10-14 g/dL for female). Candidates with more than 18 g/dL will be considered unfit. Haemoglobin below 12 g/dL for male and below 10 g/dL for female will be considered as disqualified.

GENERAL GROUNDS FOR REJECTION DURING MEDICAL EXAMINATION:

Candidates having any disease/ deformity as mentioned under will lead to rejection. Details are as under:

(i) Indication of any chronic disease like tuberculosis, syphilis, or other venereal

 

disease, rheumatoid/ any type of arthritis, hypertension etc.

(ii)

Bronchial or laryngeal disease like Asthma, chronic Tonsillitis & Adenoids etc.

(iii)

Indication of valvular or other disease of heart.

(iv)

Generally impaired constitution, so as to impede efficient discharge of training/ duties.

(v)

Low standard vision.

(vi)

Any degree of squint.

(vii)

Otitis media.

(viii)

Deafness, any degree of impaired hearing.

(ix)

Stammering, as specified later.

(x)

Loss of/ decay of teeth resulting in reduction of dental points below.

(xi)

Wearing of half or complete artificial denture.

(xii)

Contraction or deformity of chest and deformity of joints.

(xiii)

Abnormal curvature of spine (exact nature, e.g., kyphosis, scoliosis, lordosis etc.

to be specified).

(xiv)

Abnormal Gait.

(xv)

Wax (Ears)

(xvi)

Deviated Nasal Septum.

(xvii)

Under sized chest.

(xviii)

Piles

(xix)

Tonsillitis.

  • Abnormal Blood Pressure.
  • Overweight/ underweight.
  • Endocrinal disorders.
  • Mental or nervous instability- evidence of nervous instability.
  • Defective intelligence.
  • Any type of hernia.
  • Chronic skin disease like vitiligo, Leprosy, SLE, Eczema, Chronic extensive, Fungal dermatitis etc.
  • Any congenital abnormality, so as to impede efficient discharge of training/ duties.
  • Anal fistula, haemorrhoids and other anorectal diseases as specified later. (xxix) Deformity of feet like Flat foot, Club foot, plantar warts etc.
  •  
  • Nystagmus/ Progressive Pterygium.
  • Hydrocede/ Phimosis. (xxxiii) Cubitusvarus/ Valgus.
  • Polydactyl of hands/ feet.
  • Undescended testis, atrophic testis, marked varicocele, testicular swellings.
  • Varicose veins. Cases of Varicose veins, even if operated, are not to be accepted because basic defect remains unchanged.

(xxxvii)Any evidence of implants in situ anywhere in body will lead to rejection.

  • In females, the carrying angle of more than 20º will lead to rejection on the ground of cubitus valgus.
  •  
  • Per speculum and Per Vaginal examination are not to be performed in an unmarried candidate; however inspection of genitalia is to be done to rule out any obvious pathology.
  • Evidence of major abnormalities or defects of the genitalia such as change of sex, hermaphroditism, pseudohermaphroditism, or gonadal dysgenesis or dysfunctional residuals even after surgical correction of these conditions is disqualifying.
  • If urine test for pregnancy is positive the candidate will be declared temporary unfit and will be re-examined 6 weeks after the pregnancy is over, either naturally or artificially, subject to the production of a medical certificate of fitness from a registered medical practitioner.
  • Evidence of ovarian cyst or fibroid uterus or any other lump is disqualifying.
  • Evidence of pelvic inflammatory disease, is disqualifying.
  • Congenital absence of uterus or enlargement due to any cause is disqualifying.
  • Past medical history of diseases or injury of the spine or sacro iliac joints, either with or without objective signs which have prevented the candidate from following a physical active life.
  • History of spinal fracture/ prolapsed intervertebral disc and surgical treatment.
  • The following conditions detected radiologically during medical exam:
    1. Granulomatous disease of spine.
    2. Arthritidies/ spondylosis.
      1. Rheumatoid arthritis and allied disorders
      2. Ankylosing spondylitis. iii. Osteoarthrosis, spondylosis and degenerative joint disease. iv. Non articular rheumatism (e.g. lesions of the rotator cuff, tennis elbow, recurrent lumbago etc.)
      3. Miscellaneous disorders including SLE, polymyositis, vasculitis.
    3. Spondylolisthesis/ spondylolysis.
    4. Compression fracture of vertebrae.
    5. Scheuerman’s disease (Adolescent kyphosis).
    6. Loss of cervical when associated with clinically restricted movements of cervical spine.
    7. Unilateral/ Bilateral cervical ribs with demonstrable neurological or circulatory deficit.
    8. Scoliosis more than 15 degree as measure by Cobb’s method.
    9. Degenerative Disc Discase.
    10. Presence of schmorl’s nodes at more than one level.
    11. Atlanto-occipital and atlantoaxial anomalies.
    12. Hemi vertebrae and/ or incomplete block (fused) vertebrae at any level in cervical, dorsal or lumbar spine and complete block (fused) vertebrae and more than one level in cervical or dorsal spine.
    13. Unilateral Sacralisation or lumbarisation (Complete or incomplete) at all levels and bilateral incomplete sacralisation or lumbarisation.
    14. Any other abnormality if so considered by the specialist.
    15. Mild Kyphosis or Lordosis where deformity is barely noticeable and there is no pain or restriction of movement will not preclude acceptance.
    16. In case of noticeable Scoliosis or suspicion of any other abnormality or spinal deformity, more than mild, appropriate X-rays of the spine are to be taken and the Examinee referred for specialist’s advice.
    17. The following conditions detected on X-ray examination will be disqualifying:
      1. Granulomatius disease of spine.
      2. Arthritidies/ spondylosis. iii. Scoliosis more than 15 degree as measured by Cobb’s method. iv. More than mild Kyphosis/ lordosis.
      3. Spondylolisthesis/ Spondylosis. vi. Herniated nucleus pulposes. vii. Compression fracture of Vertebra. viii. Sacaralisation Disease. ix. Cervical ribs with demonstrable neurological or Circulatory deficit.
    18. Presence of Schmorl’s node at more than one level.
    19. Atlanto-occipital, and atlantoaxial anomalies. xii. Incomplete Sacaralisation Unilateral or Bilateral. xiii. Spinabifida other than SV1 and LV5 if completely sacralised.

xiv. Any other abnormality, if so considered by specialist.

  1. A candidate should have no past history of mental breakdown or fits.
  2. The hearing should be normal. A candidate should be able to hear a forced whisper with each ear at a distance of 610 cms. in a quiet room. There should be no evidence of present or past disease of the ear, nose and throat. Audiometric test will be done for AF. Audiometric loss should not exceed +20 dB in frequencies between 250 Hz and 4000 Hz. There is no impediment of speech.
  3. There should be no signs of functional or organic disease of the heart and blood vessels. Blood pressure should be normal.
  4. There should be no enlargement of liver or spleen. Any evidence of disease of internal organs of the abdomen will be a cause for rejection.
  5. Un-operated hernias will make a candidate unfit. In case of Hernia which will be operated, a minimum of 6 months must have passed prior to final medical examination before commencement of the course.
  6. There should be no hydrocele, varicocele or piles.
  7. Wear contact lenses or undergone LASIK or any kind of other eye surgery.
  8. Urine examination will be done and any abnormality if detected will be a cause for rejection.
  9. Any disease of skin which is likely to cause disability or disfigurement will also be a cause for rejection.
    1. The candidates must be in good mental and physical health for duties in all places including in high altitude and be fit to serve in border areas with extreme climatic conditions and must be free from any defect likely to interfere with efficient performance of the duties. Above instructions are not exhaustive. Remaining instructions will apply as issued by Government of India from time to time.
    2. Review medical examination (RME): Ordinarily there is no right of appeal against the findings of the Recruiting Medical Officer or Initial Medical Examination. If any Medical Certificate is produced by a candidate as a piece of evidence about the possibility of an error of judgment in the decision of Initial Medical Board/ Recruiting Medical Officer, who had examined him/ her in the first instance i.e. DME, an appeal can be accepted. Such Medical Certificate will not be taken into consideration unless it contains a note by the Medical Officer from Government District Hospital or above along with registration no. given by MCI/ State Medical Council, to the effect that it has been given in full knowledge of the fact that the candidate has already been rejected and declared unfit for service by CAPF Medical Board, or the recruiting medical officer. If the appeal of a candidate is accepted by CAPF Appellate Authority, his/ her Review Medical Examination will be conducted by CAPF RME Board. The Decision of the CAPF’s Review Medical Boards will be final. No appeal will be entertained against the finding of the second medical i.e. Review Medical Examination.

10.            GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO BE COMPLIED WITH BY THE CANDIDATES DURING THE EXAMINATIONS:

i.            Candidates are not permitted to use calculators and other electronic gadgets except as specified in the Notice. They should not, therefore, bring the same inside the Examination Hall/ Lab.

ii.          If any candidate is found to possess mobile phones or any other means of wireless communication in the working or switched off mode in the examination hall, his/ her candidature shall be cancelled forthwith. The candidate will be debarred, as per extant policy of the Commission, from appearing in any other examination conducted by the Commission.

iii.         During the CBE examination, instructions on the computer screen may be followed.

 

iv.         Candidates must refrain from creating any obstruction during the conduct of the Computer Based Examination and other stages of recruitment. If any candidate is found obstructing the conduct of the examination or creating disturbances at the examination venue, his/ her candidature shall be summarily cancelled. Such candidate shall also be liable to be debarred from future examinations of the Commission and legal/ criminal proceedings could be initiated against him/ her.

10.            MODE OF SELECTION :

i.            The recruitment process will consist of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Examination.

ii.          All candidates whose online applications are found to be in order will be called to appear in the Computer Based Examination. The Commission will conduct the examination for all candidates in Computer Based Mode only. Admit Cards for Computer Based Examination will be uploaded on the website of the concerned SSC Regional Office.

iii.         Computer Based Examination will be held in English & Hindi only.

iv.         The number of candidates shortlisted for PET/PST on the basis of merit in the Computer Based examination will be around 10 times of the number of vacancies.

v.          Only those candidates who qualify in PET/ PST and are shortlisted for DME by the Commission and whose documents are found to be in order will require appearing in the DME which will be conducted as per revised uniform guidelines for recruitment medical examination issued by ADG (Medical) CAPF dated 20/5/2015. Detailed Medical Examination is mandatory but of qualifying nature.

vi.         Collection of required eligibility certificates/ documents from the candidates and their verification with original documents will be carried out at the time of Detailed Medical Examination (DME) by the CAPFs.

vii.        Admit Cards for PET/ PST and DME/ RME will be uploaded on the CRPF website http://www.crpf.gov.in. PET/ PST and DME/ RME will be conducted by various CAPFs as decided by CRPF.

viii.      Candidates may give following preference of CAPFs/ Organizations in the online Application Form, in the order of priority. Filling of all the eight preferences will be essential:

(a).           BSF (A)

(b).           CISF (B)

(c).           CRPF (C)

(d).           SSB (D)

(e).           ITBP (E)

(f).            Assam Rifles (F)

(g).           NIA (G)

(h).          SSF (H)

ix.         On the basis of aggregate marks scored by the candidates in Computer Based Examination, the final selection of candidates, along with force allocation, in each category namely, Un-Reserved, SC, ST, OBC and ex-servicemen will be made separately for male and female candidates in respect of each State/ UT and further earmarked category of Border Guarding and Militancy/ Naxal affected Districts wherever applicable. Selection of the candidates for NIA and SSF will be made on All India basis.

x.          Allotment of CAPFs/ Organizations to finally selected candidates will be made on the basis of ‘merit in Computer Based Examination’-cum-‘preference of CAPFs/ Organization’ exercised by the candidates in the online Applications submitted by them. CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO BE VERY CAREFUL AND SHOULD EXERCISE DUE DILIGENCE WHILE GIVING PREFERENCES OF FORCES/

ORGANIZATIONS, IN THE ORDER OF PRIORITY, IN THE ONLINE APPLICATION

FORM. AFTER SUBMISSION OF ONLINE APPLICATION FORM, NO REQUEST

FOR CHANGE IN PREFERENCE WILL BE ENTERTAINED BY THE COMMISSION UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

xi.         Candidates will be considered for the vacancies of a State/ UT and further for the vacancies of Border Guarding Districts, Militancy/ Naxal affected Districts based on the information provided by them in the online Application Form and subsequent submission of relevant Domicile Certificate at the time of DME/ Document Verification. CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO BE VERY CAREFUL AND SHOULD EXERCISE DUE DILIGENCE WHILE PROVIDING INFORMATION ABOUT DOMICILE STATE AND DISTRICT IN THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM. NO REQUEST FOR CHANGE OF DOMICILE STATE AND DISTRICT WILL BE ENTERTAINED BY THE COMMISSION AFTER SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. IF THERE IS ANY VARIATION OF DISTRICT AND/ OR STATE MENTIONED BY THE CANDIDATE IN THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM AND THE DOMICILE CERTIFICATE SUBMITTED BY THEM

AT THE TIME OF DME/ DOCUMENT VERIFCATION, THEIR CANDIDATURE WILL

BE CANCELLED FORTHWITH AND THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN DETAILED MEDICAL EXAMINATION.

xii.        The cut-off marks in Computer Based Examination, for eligibility to selection will be as under:

(a). General and Ex-servicemen :   35%

(b). SC/ ST/ OBC    :   33%

xiii.      SC, ST, OBC and ExS candidates, who are selected on their own merit without relaxed standards, along with candidates belonging to other communities, will not be adjusted against the reserved share of vacancies. Such candidates will be accommodated against the unreserved vacancies as per their position in the overall Merit List. The reserved vacancies will be filled up separately from amongst the eligible SC, ST, OBC and ExS candidates.

xiv.      SC, ST, OBC and ExS candidate who qualifies on the basis of relaxed standards viz. age limit, height and chest measurement, experience or qualifications, permitted number of chances, extended zone of consideration larger than what is provided for general category candidate etc., irrespective of his/ her merit position, such SC, ST, OBC and ExS candidates is to be counted against reserved vacancies. In so far as cases of ex-serviceman are concerned, deduction of the military service rendered from the age of ex-servicemen is permissible against the reserved or unreserved posts and such exemption cannot be termed as relaxed standards in regard to age.

 

xv.        If a district belongs to Border Guarding area as well as Naxal/ Militancy affected area, vacancies will be filled in the order of Border Guarding area followed by Naxal/ Militancy affected area.
